Marcia Gay

  Marcia Gay Harden (born August 14, 1959) is an American actor from America. She is the recipient of numerous awards which include an Academy Award and a Tony Award along with nominations for three Primetime Emmy Awards.



 



 Harden was born in San Diego, California's La Jolla neighborhood. In the 1980s, Harden started her acting career by appearing in television shows. In 1986, she starred in her debut film role which led to her breakthrough in the 1990 Coen brothers-directed Miller's Crossing. The film was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2000 for her portrayal as Lee Krasner (artist) in Pollock. She received a second Academy Award nomination for her performance as Celeste Boyle in the drama film Mystic River (2003). Other notable credits in films include The First Wives Club (1996), Flubber (1997), Space Cowboys (2000), Mona Lisa Smile (2003), and the Fifty Shades film trilogy.
